Camelot said a new £4m midweek national lottery draw was introduced to revitalise flagging sales. The new draw was approved yesterday. It expects to collect an extra £12m a week in ticket sales.
The Betting Office Licensees Association is worried about closures in the betting industry after nearly 500 bookmakers shut last year. It wants to see a cut in duty on gambling.
