Speciality Shops close to buying The Pyramids Shopping Centre in Birkenhead, Merseyside
Speciality Shops is close to buying the 13,284 sq m (143,000 sq ft) Pyramids Shopping Centre in Birkenhead for around £30m.
Wyndham Investments, the pension fund arm of Allied Domecq, currently owns the centre which generates £2.3m pa. Principal tenants include C&A and Marks & Spencer. There are 30 shop units, 8 kiosks and 750 car parking spaces at the centre.
Earlier this year, Speciality Shops paid £700,000 for a 50% stake in the 13,006 sq m (140,000 sq ft) former Brewery site in King Street, Norwich.
