Cornwall is bidding for Millennium funds to revive its flaggingindustries.
One plan, sponsored by Exeter University, wants to build an£87m campus near Penzance. The other, piloted by the theEden Trust, wants to spend £105m developing a botanicalvillage. The Millennium Commission has given conditional supportto Eden’s £50m funding application. A decision is expectedshortly on the university’s plans.
