Retail group Allders announced a jump in pre-tax profits. Chief executive Harvey Lipsith said the group will spend £30 million in the next two years on store refurbishment, including the eight properties acquired from Owen Owen in September.
The company is also looking for opportunities to expand the department store business and the out of town At Home stores. However Allders is in no rush to make acquisitions.
