The Ministry of Defence has let 19,500 sq m (210,000 sq ft) of industrial space near Hereford to Davies Brook, a local drinks company.
The occupier has taken a 25-year lease at £270,000 pa on the unit which is located at the MoD’s depot at Moreton on Lugg, four miles north of the the town. Knight Frank was the letting agent.
Knight Frank is marketing the remainder of the 61 ha (150 acres) site, which includes a total of 60,400 sq m (650,000 sq ft) of industrial buildings. KF hopes to attract a developer interested in refurbishing the existing space and building another 18,580 sq m (200,000 sq ft) of business accommodation. The site also has a disused railhead which could be reconnected to provide a link to the Cardiff-Hereford-Crewe line.
