Load test was carried out yesterday on Hammersmith bridge in west London, closing it temporarily. It was needed to come to decision as to whether it would close from February 2 for one year for further work.
The project is not connected with maintenance work on the elevated section of the M4 which was incorrectly reported by The Daily Telegraph yesterday.
