AutoDome, a newly-formed venture backed by a major UK property company, is planning a £300m leisure and exhibition centre celebrating the motor car at Battersea Wharf, SW11.
The venture is understood to have paid receivers Price Waterhouse between £25m and £30m for the site, next door to Battersea Power Station on the south bank of the Thames. It is lodging an application to build a 92,900 sq m (1m sq ft) multi-storey centre, including a permanent exhibition centre and a series of car-related leisure attractions.
AutoDome’s scheme will be linked into the public transport system via the proposed rail shuttle terminal at Battersea Power Station, where a £500m hotel and leisure scheme is proposed by developer Parkview.
Knight Frank is advising AutoDome.
