Racquets & Healthtrack Group has unveiled plans for the largest health club in the East Midlands on 3.6 ha (10 acres) in Wilford Lane, Nottingham.
The £9m scheme will include tennis courts, bars, a restaurant, swimming pool and fitness club totalling 9,290 sq m (100,000 sq ft).
RHG is still looking to develop up to four new schemes nation-wide, as part of its £35m national expansion. Max Wildsmith, the group chairman said: “We are looking for sites in the main metropolitan areas, along the M25, the South West and I still, think there is room in Birmingham.”
Already, FHG has secured a site for a 9,290 sq m (100,000 sq ft) club in the West Midlands at Cranmore Boulevard, Solihull.
Wildsmith added that he is also looking at sites in Edinburgh: “We examine any opportunity on its merits.”
The Group already has operations in Weybridge and Chester and is about to start work on a Health & Fitness Club in Ealing, West London. It has agreed terms on another site at Old Trafford Park, Manchester which is opposite the new Dumplington retail development.
