Residents of Wootton Bassett, Wiltshire, are insisting their town hall be repainted from grey following a £60,000 restoration. They want it repainted black and white in its former mock Tudor style.
Cliveden Conservation did the work on the Grade Two listed building. Now North Wiltshire council is threatening enforcement action to repaint it. The Town Trust, which is responsible for the hall, claims the grey limewash will weather better.
