Greater Manchester’s retail and leisure market is flourishing following a raft of lettings.
In Ashton-under-Lyne, Tops Estates has let 28 Staveleigh Mall to JD Sports at a record rent for this part of the town. The retailer is taking a 353 sq m (3,805 sq ft) unit at £53,000 pa equating to £645.85 Zone A.
In Bolton, Orbit Developments has let a stand-alone restaurant to Pizza Hut at its Middlebrook development close to junction 6 of the M61. The tenant will occupy 278 sq m (3,000 sq ft) on a 25-year lease at £269 per sq m (£25 per sq ft). Donaldsons advised Pizza Hut.
Also at Middlebrook, Craftworld is taking a 1,858 sq m (20,000 sq ft) unit on a 25-year lease, at £134.55 per sq m (£25 per sq ft). Craftworld acted in-house. Tushingham Moore was the letting agent on both deals.
