Consortium plans 50,000 sq ft speculative offices at Cardiff Gate

The consortium behind the 36.4ha (90 acre) Cardiff Gate development, off junction 30 of the M4, has submitted a detailed planning application for a 4,645 sq m (50,000 sq ft) office block on the business park.

The consortium, which comprises Italian developer Impreglio, DMD, PMH Properties and the WDA, are believed to want to build a speculative three storey office block on the 1.4ha (3.4 acre) site.

It is understood they are about to secure funding for the development.

Earlier this year construction started on the first 2,229 sq m (24,000 sq ft) speculative phase of the Office Village at Cardiff Gate. Premier Hotels is also on-site with a new £2.5m Holiday Inn Express aimed at the business market.

Chesterton and Fletcher Morgan are agents on the site.
