Swedish fashion retailer H&M Hennes has signed up for its second store in the West Midlands as it continues to expand out of its stronghold in London and the South East.
Hennes is also looking for sites for 1,858 sq m (20,000 sq ft) flagship stores in both Leeds and Manchester and other Northern cities.
The retailer has taken a 743 sq m (8,000 sq ft) unit in Dusco’s Gracechurch shopping centre in Sutton Coldfield on a 15 year lease at a rental of £160,000 per annum.
“We identified a requirement for another West Midlands’ store – we opened in Birmingham city centre, last year, and Sutton Coldfield’s quality catchment is perfect for us,” said Richard Din, H&M’s managing director.
