B&Q buys CNT site in Warrington for superstore

DIY retailer B&Q has bought a 5ha (12.5 acre) site at Junction 9 of the M62 in Warrington, Cheshire from CNT for a £15m superstore.

The store will have a 9,755 sq m (105,000 sq ft) sales area and a 4,645 sq m (50,000 sq ft) garden centre. B&Q also plans a fast food outlet and a park & ride facility to link with Warrington town centre.

Work on the store will start shortly and with completion set for next summer.
