IBM is searching for up to 12,077 sq m (130,000 sq ft) of accommodation for a new national call centre.
The computer giant has appointed Weatherall, Green & Smith to look for sites and buildings across the UK. The search is targeting grant assisted areas nationwide in areas such as the North East, Humberside and South Wales It is looking at sites and buildings and is also considering the possibility of converting industrial and warehousing accommodation into suitable space.
The call centre operation will employ up to 1,000 people although the company would not reveal what the team will be working on.
