Vanessa and Corin Redgrave are trying to buy the Clapham Grand Theatre in South London for £1.4m.
The brother and sister actors are competing against JD Wetherspoon which has had its application to turn the site into a pub rejected. The pub chain owns the site. An appeal goes to a public inquiry next month.
