Laura Ashley has sold one of its two Welsh factories threatened with closure.
The buyer of the troubled fashion retailer’s factory at Machynlleth in Dyfed is Merchants Design and Manufacturing based at Port Talbot, West Glamorgan.
Laura Ashley’s garment-making factories at Machynlleth and atCaernarfon in Gwynedd were put up for sale or closure last month in a bid to revive the company’s ailing fortunes.
