Abacus Developments, the property arm of Sir Robert McAlpine, has secured planning consent for a £9m retail park on 6.5 acres in Small Heath, Birmingham.
The 80,000 sq ft St Andrews Retail Park will regenerate a derelict site known as Greenway in the Coventry Road and Cattell Road area of Small Heath.
The developer bought the site from the council for undisclosed sum and hopes to start preliminary site works within the next few weeks.
