Henry Boot submits application for 86,000 sq ft office block in central Birmingham

Henry Boot Developments has submitted a detailed planning application for an 8,000 sq m (86,000 sq ft) office block at Paradise Circus in central Birmingham.

The developer is planning to build the eight-storey scheme on its own land next door to 77 Paradise Circus. It will form the next phase of development on the island site which already features the 3,251 sq m (35,000 sq ft) Chamberlain House and the 3,158 sq m (34,000 sq ft) Convention House office blocks.

According to Ken Gledhill, managing director of Henry Boot Developments, the new building will form a new city square with the adjacent Copthorne Hotel and Convention House.

He said: “We have designed a scheme providing the type of high quality accommodation demanded by modern business which meets both the constraints of the site and fits in with the city’s wider plans for the area.”
