Telecommunications giant British Telecom has launched a search in Birmingham for 2,787 sq m (30,000 sq ft) – with the possibility of doubling that – for the third and final phase of its Workstyle 2000 office requirement in Birmingham.
BT is currently drawing up a shortlist which is rumoured to include the controversial Snow Hill House development site on Livery Street and Argent’s Brindleyplace scheme off Broad Street.
The telecommunications company has just completed the fit-out of No 5 Brindleyplace – the first phase of its office requirement in the city – and is now starting work on preparing the 4,920 sq m (53,000 sq ft) No 1 Trinity Park, close to Birmingham International airport, to fulfil the second phase of its requirement.
BT has also appointed DTZ Debenham Thorpe to dispose of the long-leasehold interest in its offices at Brindley House on Newhall Street in Birmingham city centre.
