Knight Frank is following Richard Ellis’ lead in Birmingham as it is believed to have selected the same building for its new office in the city.
KF is thought to have put the ground floor of Beaufort House at 85-89 Colmore Row in the city centre under offer to house its new operation in the city. Richard Ellis already occupies the fourth floor of the building.
The ground floor of 148 sq m (1,600 sq ft) was formerly occupied by the Woolwich Building Society and once let, will leave only the 6th and 3rd floors available in the building, which is being let by James & Lister Lee on behalf of accountants Deloitte & Touche. Richard Ellis was considering relocating staff at Donaldsons into Beaufort House while there was still the possibility of merger between the two.
James & Lister Lea is quoting £172 per sq m (£16 per sq ft) for the ground floor accommodation.
Knight Frank announced that it was setting up a new office in Birmingham last month. Its new staff have been working out of its residential offices in Stratford-Upon-Avon.
