Private healthcare giant Bupa is considering its options for a redevelopment site in Birmingham city centre following its purchase of 25 Bennett’s Hill from Abbey National.
As revealed by EGi, Bupa put in a bid to buy Abbey National’s 1,858 sq m (20,000 sq ft) office building for £925,000 after a deal with developer Castle City fell through.
Bupa is thought to be considering refurbishment and redevelopment of the building. It has planning permission for healthclub and leisure uses on the site. It is also believed to be considering sub-letting accommodation.
Fuller Peiser sold Bennet’s Hill for Abbey National. Johnson Fellows & Co. is advising Bupa.
