Rail entrepreneur Sandy Anderson bought a 27.9% stake in South CountryHomes for £630,000. He intends to develop the company into a leisuregroup and is looking for suitable acquisitions.
Anderson made his fortune from the £825m takeover of Porterbrookby Stagecoach in 1996. He is no longer on the board of Stagecoach.
