J Sainsbury has won the race to redevelop one of the last remaining retail opportunities in Birmingham. The development arm of the supermarket chain is set to build a 13,377 sq m (144,000 sq ft) scheme at Castle Vale.
The Castle Vale Shopping Centre will comprise a 5,946 sq m (64,000 sq ft) Sainsbury supermarket and an additional 7,432 sq m (80,000 sq ft) of non food retail warehousing, restaurant and petrol filling station.
