Three Japanese companies expand in the East Midlands

Three Japanese manufacturers are to build factories in the EastMidlands.

Nakagawa Sangyo is creating 120 jobs at Corby, Northamptonshire. Itmakes fibreglass components for car exhausts. Kyoshin Shoji, which makesfoam for car interiors, is creating 70 jobs in Nottinghamshire. It isdrawing on government aid for its new plants in an enterprise zone inthe depressed former coal-mining town of Mansfield.

LJ Specialities, a producer of chemical dyestuffs, will employ 20staff at Chesterfield in Derbyshire. The company is also locating itsnew factory in an enterprise close to its UK customers.
