The Port of Belfast is to be privatised in a deal which could raiseup to £100m for the province. The sale was announced as GordonBrown, the Chancellor, unveiled a £315m support package forNorthern Ireland.
The government will keep a “golden share” in the port to prevent itstakeover. Cash from the sale will go towards roads development inBelfast.
