BT to open 45,000 sq ft call centre in Dundee
British Telecom is to open a 4,041 sq m (43,500 sq ft) call centre at Dundee Technology Park on the east coast of Scotland.
BT has taken the whole of Capital Ventures’ Building 1 at Gateway West on a 15-year lease, paying a rent of £108 per sq m (£10 per sq ft). The deal is the City’s largest for several years, according to Graham & Sibbald Chartered Surveyors, joint letting agents on the scheme along with Grimley. Ryden and Alex Morrison & Co acted for BT.
- In the centre of Dundee, Lend Lease has bought the former Shoprite supermarket fronting Merketgait from Clydesdale Bank for over £1m. The 854 sq m (9,190 sq ft) building stands next to the Overgate shopping centre, which Lend Lease is currently redeveloping as a 44,592 sq m (480,000 sq ft) scheme to be anchored by Debenhams. The developer now wants to expand the centre beyond its original boundaries.
