Sir Rocco Forte’s RF Hotels is to open Manchester’s first five-star hotel in Salford’s Chapel Wharf area.
It is part of a £100m development comprising shops, cafes, restaurants and bars on the River Irwell on the boundary between Manchester and Salford. The 160-bed hotel’s construction is due to start next spring.
RF Hotels hopes to open another next year in Cardiff Bay, Wales.
