Evans of Leeds attracts Caterpillar to Fradley Park

Evans of Leeds has signed a major letting deal with Caterpillar Logistics Services at its 137.6ha (340 acre) Fradley Park development at Lichfield in Staffordshire.

Caterpillar is taking a 13,100 sq m (141,000 sq ft) distribution centre for auto components. Although the terms of the deal are confidential, local sources say Caterpillar signed a standard institutional lease at £43 – £48.50 per sq m (£4 – £4.50 per sq ft).

The new tenant joins Hellmann International Forwarders which signed in June to build a 11,148 sq m (120,000 sq ft) distribution on a 4.86ha (12 acre) site. Other tenants at Fradley include Securicor Omega Express, Environment Agency and LucasVarity.

GVA Grimley and Kingstons acted for Evans of Leeds.
