Chelsea Village has slammed the London Borough of Hammersmith and Fulham for taking too long over a planning inquiry into further development of Stamford Bridge.
No decision is likely until the autumn to rebuild the West Stand. This will include a health club, restaurants and other facilities.
A criminal investigation has been launched into the running of parts of Chelsea Village. The Times reports that this centres on certain business transactions by Edward Murray, who was general manager of the Court Hotel which Chelsea built on its Stamford Bridge site in west London.
