Enterprise Inns has added another 504 pubs to its estate with the takeover of Century Inns for £79.1m.
Century’s pubs are mostly in the north-east and Midlands. Enterprise had 1,780 outlets before the takeover.
Enterprise intends to shut the Century head office in Stockton-on-Tees. It plans to sell or convert 96 managed houses to tenanted pubs.
