BMW warned at its annual press conference that time was running out for a successful negotiations with the government to secure the future of the Longbridge Rover plant.
Joachim Milberg, BMW chairman, said the longer the negotiations for government aid dragged on the more likely it was that production would be shifted outside of the UK.
He gave the government a month to come up with more aid.
