BMW has agreed a deal with the government that secures the future of the Longbridge car plant near Birmingham.
BMW will receive around £150m in government aid in return for a £1.7bn investment in the Rover facility.
Rover is expected to go ahead with redevelopment plans including the construction of an entirely new factory within the Longbridge complex.
