Wolverhampton & Dudley Breweries plans to sell another 300 pubs by the end of the year for about £50m.
Most of them are tenanted, It will take the company down to 1,500 outlets.
The move is part of a cost saving drive, Some of the savings will be used to expand its Varsity and Pitcher & Piano chains. Some seven new sites are planned. The company is spreading its reach beyond its traditional areas of the North, the Midlands and Wales.
