United Drug has benefited from one-off property gains which helped lift interim pretax profits 30% to £4.72m (I£5.72m).
The climb was less marked at 17% with the I£570,000 profit on a property sale stripped out. The location of the property is not reported.
The pharmaceuticals group in based in Southern Ireland but it also has interests in Northern Ireland and operates a joint venture called UniDrug with Alliance UniChem of Surrey.
