Edinburgh law firm Alex Morison& Co and Glasgow-based Bishop & Robertson Chalmers are to merge to create Morison Bishop, the fifth largest law firm in Scotland.
The new firm incorporates 30 partners and 112 fee-earners, and will have a turnover of around £312m.
Key areas will be corporate, property and litigation. Bishop Robertson brings a strong construction team to the merger.
