Gant AB has paid an undisclosed sum for its UK licensee, Trisca, moving its planned store chain roll-out a step further.
The owner of Gant American Sportswear will now use the new company to open a British chain of standalone stores and franchised outlets, to be know as Gant UK.
Over the next two years Gant will open five standalone outlets and is eyeing up cities including Manchester, Glasgow and Dublin to house potential stores.
Former managing director of Trisca Barry Cutler is chairman of Gant UK and said that the total roll-out figure will be decided when a chief executive is appointed.
