MEPC sells long leasehold on City offices

MEPC has sold its long leasehold interest on 69 Carter Lane, London EC4, to an offshore investment company for £10.4m. The deal reflects an initial yield of 8.67%.

Law firm Stephenson Harwood occupies the 2,683 sq m (28,878 sq ft) building on a lease terminating in 2014 at a rent of £1.4m pa.

MEPC was represented by Jones Lang LaSalle and CREDO Property Group by King Sturge & Co. The freehold of the site is owned by the Goldsmiths’ Company.
