Engineering giant Bechtel is seeking to satisfy a 11,612 sq m (125,000 sq ft) office requirement in the west London Hammersmith area, reports Lucy Coppin.
The firm is likely to be seeking a prelet as it is currently tied into a lease for a further five years at its existing headquarters at 245 Hammersmith Road, London W6.
Options for its new headquarters include The Pinnacle, London & Bath Estates’ proposed 18,450 sq m (198,600 sq ft) landmark office building in Chiswick, which is now being assessed by the DETR. Stockley Park and Chiswick Park could also be in the reckoning.
Jones Lang LaSalle (JLL) is heading the search. Other agents which pitched for the deal are thought to include Healey and Baker, DTZ Debenham Tie Leung and Lambert Smith Hampton. Andrew Barnes, who is handling the search at JLL, refused to comment.
