Spencer Gifts has kick-started its European store roll-out with a deal in Crawley, West Sussex.
The retail arm of Universal Studios has signed a deal for its first Euro store, due to open at the end of February.
Peter Nash, managing director at Spencer Gifts UK revealed that the retailer plans to have secured five UK sites by June and 50 within five years. It is looking for units between 160 sq m (1,722 sq ft) and 185 sq m (1,991 sq ft) in shopping centres.
