Bill Payne, chief executive, of the Yorkshire Housing Association argues in The Guardian that plans to link social housing rents to property prices will create huge anomalies between north and south.
The proposal is included in the housing green paper.
Payne says the “red herring” of linking capital values to rents needs to be consigned to the bin.
