Delphi Automotive Systems has chosen Vauxhall’s Ellesmere Port plant, in north-west England, as the launch site for a new internet-based logistics system.
The venture could speed up deliveries at car plants around the world.
It will use the internet to co-ordinate the delivery of parts from 73 suppliers across Europe to Ellesmere Port.
