AMEC Developments has poached senior KPMG consultant Charlie Fulford to head its urban regeneration arm in the South East.
Fulford will report to Manchester-based director Chris Brown, who is in charge of AMEC’s overall regeneration business. Fulford, who acted as the RICS’s adviser to the Urban Task Force, will take the post of development manager.
He acknowledged that AMEC’s decision to open up an urban regeneration operation in the South East was spurred by the company’s failure to secure the redevelopment of the 20ha (49 acres) site behind King’s Cross earlier this year.
KPMG’s recent decision to focus more on e-commerce ventures is also understood to have played a part in Fulford’s departure.
