Triangle lets boost Frogmore’s national ambitions

A flush of new lettings at Frogmore Estates Triangle retail scheme in Manchester has furthered the companys aim to take the concept nationwide.

Frogmore has signed up five tenants on the former Corn Exchange site, including sportswear retailers Henri Lloyd and ONeill.

ONeill has taken 556 sq m (5,980 sq ft) for its largest store. Henri-Lloyd will open its first branded store, paying a zone A rent of £861 per sq m (£80 per sq ft) for a 120 sq m (1,300 sq ft) unit.

Joe Malvisi, director at Frogmore, said the firm wanted to roll out the same concept across the country: “We want to do lots more Triangles. There are six cities in the UK that can accommodate a scheme like this in slightly off-pitch sites.”

Malvisi said that Frogmore was already looking at Liverpool and Sheffield.

Czech retailer Botanicus Ubiquitous will open one of its first stores in the UK at the Triangle. The natural products store is paying a zone A rent of between £807 and £861 per sq m (£75 and £80 per sq ft) for a 220 sq m (2,366 sq ft) unit.

Gant and Florence b have also signed up to the scheme, while DKNY and Versace are considering taking space there.
