James Beattie is taking over a former C&A store in the centre of Birmingham.
The department store chain will open its new 14,027 sq m (151,000 sq ft) outlet in September at the same time as another outlet in Huddersfield.
The Birmingham store will be refitted at a cost of £6.5m.
