Wyvedale Garden Centres is buying Country Gardens for £108-£111m.
The acquisition will create the UKs largest garden centre chain.
They will have 119 outlets between them with overlaps in just four towns. Country Gardens head office will close. Wyvedale is on the lookout for further acquisitions.
