Sainsbury’s could enter a joint venture with Le Roy Merlin of France to operate the UK company’s Homebase chain.
The company will update investors at an analysts’ briefing tomorrow.
Sainsbury’s is also believed to be considering an all-out Homebase sale to Duke Street Capital for less than £1bn.
