Withers completes Old Bailey subletting

American firm Exult has taken the last remaining surplus space to be sublet by lawyer Withers at its offices at 16 Old Bailey, EC4. The development (pictured) was recently completed by Hammerson.

Management services provider Exult took the sixth floor which comprises 836 sq m (9,000 sq ft), at £522 per sq m (£48.50 per sq ft) on a seven-year lease. Bristol-based commercial law firm Osborne Clarke has already taken the fifth floor and Deloite Touche the fourth, with both paying £484 per sq m (£45 per sq ft).

Withers hopes to move to its offices, which lie behind a retained Grade II-listed facade opposite the Old Bailey Court, by the end of the year. Fellow lawyers will take up residence at Withers’ former offices, with Lewis & Silkin taking 2,648 sq m (28,503 sq ft) at 12 Gough Square, EC4, and Freshfields taking 1,022 sq m (11,001 sq ft) at 70 Fleet Street, EC4.

King Sturge and Farebrother advised Withers. DTZ acted for Exult.
