Designer outlet centre specialist Freeport has won detailed planning consent for the 13,656 sq m (147,000 sq ft) phase two of its Essex Village scheme in Braintree.
Cinema operator Cine UK has already signed up to take a 3,437 sq m (37,000 sq ft) 12-screen multiplex at the £15m project. The development also comprises a 2,415 sq m (26,000 sq ft) family entertainment centre with restaurant and a 2,322 sq m (25,000 sq ft) health and leisure facility including pool complex and fitness club.
Consent has also been granted for a 2,322 sq m (25,000 sq ft) retail extension at the scheme. Present tenants include Versace, Christian Lacroix, Burberry, Tommy Hilfiger and Calvin Klein.
