Aid approval does not guarantee Nissan Sunderland plant future

Nissan’s Sunderland car plant might not be saved after all despite the European Commission’s approval of a £40m government aid package, warns The Independent.

The newspaper says the approval is only what had been expected and it took a far bigger leap of imagination to conclude the investment in the new Micra would go to the plant rather than France or Spain.
