One of west London’s largest development sites moved a step closer to receiving the go-ahead last night.
Hammersmith council has granted Hammersmith Embankment, a joint venture between Landmark Developments and Aberdeen Property Investors, detailed consent to develop a further 48,370 sq m (520,667 sq ft) of space at its Hammersmith Embankment Office Park, subject to a section 106 agreement. The space, which will be spread over eight buildings, forms the last phase of development at the office park.
The jv will need to return to the drawing board to redraft its design for one of the buildings because the council wants it set back further from the riverbank.
A council spokeswoman said: “Detailed consent will be granted once they meet these legal requirements.”
